Pay range:  $30/hr. - $40/hr.  based on experience

Hospice nurses provide end of life care to help ensure the comfort and quality of life for their patients.  They primarily work in collaborative, team-driven environments that require frequent communication with their patients, families and other caregivers.  The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, patient and calm.  Hospice nurses are caring and kind individuals who possess a special hospice heart who can help our patients celebrate the rest of their life’s journey.  

Hours of operation:  3 days: 7am - 7:30pm and one 4 hour shift

JOB SUMMARY

• • Collaborates with the Care Center Leadership Team in the daily activities of the Care Centers.
  • Ensures compliance with all internal and external requirements.
  • Assists and collaborates with the Knowledge Center to prepare the newly licensed RN (Nurse Resident) to gain competency, confidence, and comfort in meeting the needs of hospice patients and families through coaching and bedside teaching.
  • Conducts document reviews and investigations, collects data, chart monitoring, and identifies areas or issues for process improvement.
  • Assists with nursing duties, including updating the plan of care, medication administration, and other nursing-related responsibilities.
  • Serves as a resource to Trustbridge staff and leadership.

Education/Regulatory Requirements:

• RN degree from a college or university, accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing and/or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
• Registered Nurse currently licensed in the State of Florida.

Skills:

• Minimum of 2 years LTC, hospital, home health or hospice experience.
• Extensive knowledge of clinical aspects of patient care and compliance principles; working knowledge of process improvement methodology and tools.
• Compassionate, caring, courteous and respectful attitude.
• Self-motivated, efficient

Professional Requirements:

• Demonstrate experience with oral and written communication, ability to work 1:1, facilitate groups and cross functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills, clear, articulate and friendly manner of speaking.

Language Skills:

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
