Responsibilities

Hours of Operations 7:00 AM-3:00 PM 

  • This position serves as a professional leader in the Admissions Department. Assists the Director of Admissions in the management of the Admissions Care Partners through making decisions as outlined by established standard work, policies, and procedures.
  • Expected to work with or without supervision of the executive management team.
  • This position oversees and facilitates the conversion of referrals to admissions through execution of the intake and admissions process and the use of effective phone and customer experience skills.
  • Hires, trains, coaches and disciplines the designated Admissions Care Partner staff.
  • This position is also responsible for administrative duties including closing payroll, overseeing and managing schedules.
  • Serves as a liaison between the Admissions Department and other areas of the organization.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Education/Regulatory Requirements:
    • Bachelor's Degree preferred 
  • Skills:
    • One year experience in a leadership role or demonstrated capability of same required, preferably in hospital , nursing home, or home health setting, preferred.
    • Knowledge of hospice and home health programs is desireable.
    • Demonstrates organizational, administrative and personnel management skills.
    • Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Mastery of essential office procedures; healthcare terminology and systems preferred.
    • Extensive proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
    • Homecare Homebase software experience a plus.
    • Organized, flexible, self motivated with ability to relate to all levels of the professional medical team.
    • Ability to develop and apply effective customer experience skills.
    • Ability to work well under stress and with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines.
    • Self-starter and effective problem solver.
    • Assertive, nurturing and displays professional demeanor and maintains confidentiality.
  • Professional Requirements:
      • Excellent communication skills.
  • Language Skills:
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
