Pay Range: $33/hr - $41/hr. Based on experience

Hospice nurses provide end of life care to help ensure the comfort and quality of life for their patients.  They primarily work in collaborative, team-driven environments that require frequent communication with their patients, families and other caregivers.  The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, patient and calm.  Hospice nurses are caring and kind individuals who possess a special hospice heart who can help our patients celebrate the rest of their life’s journey.  

Responsibilities

Hours of Operation: 8:30am - 5:00pm

 

JOB SUMMARY
Assists with testing, implementation, and teaching of clinical information and clinical support systems and related processes according to the standards of practice and policies/procedures. Collaborates and facilitates communication and translation of business, regulatory, and information technology requirements within and among departments that interface with Patient Care areas. Serves as a liaison between clinicians, IT professionals, and leadership to facilitate a common understanding of clinical standards and process improvement activities across multidisciplinary teams throughout the system development lifecycle. Provides guidance through operational experience and research in the area of clinical information systems management.

 

 

Qualifications

 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Education/Regulatory Requirements:
    • Current license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Florida.
    • Current Basic Life Support Certification.
    • 30 hour IV Certification preferred.
    • Hospice Certification preferred.
  2. Skills:
    • Understanding of the ability to apply the characteristics of hospice nursing, case management, crisis intervention, communication skills, thanatology skills, and needs assessment skills.
    • Adequate and reliable means of transportation with adequate insurance and valid Florida driver’s license.
  3. Professional Requirements:
    • Ability to coordinate with both volunteers and other health care professionals in the delivery of palliative care to Hospice patients.
    • LPNs will be able to perform techniques and procedures according to the skills as evidenced by attendance at training sessions and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  4. Language Skills:
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
