Pay Range: $33/hr - $41/hr. Based on experience

Hospice nurses provide end of life care to help ensure the comfort and quality of life for their patients.  They primarily work in collaborative, team-driven environments that require frequent communication with their patients, families and other caregivers.  The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, patient and calm.  Hospice nurses are caring and kind individuals who possess a special hospice heart who can help our patients celebrate the rest of their life’s journey.  

Responsibilities

Hours of Operation: 8:30am - 5:00pm

 

  • JOB SUMMARY
    Assists with testing, implementation, and teaching of clinical information and clinical support systems and related processes according to the standards of practice and policies/procedures.
  • Collaborates and facilitates communication and translation of business, regulatory, and information technology requirements within and among departments that interface with Patient Care areas.
  • Serves as a liaison between clinicians, IT professionals, and leadership to facilitate a common understanding of clinical standards and process improvement activities across multidisciplinary teams throughout the system development lifecycle.
  • Provides guidance through operational experience and research in the area of clinical information systems management.

 

 

Qualifications

 

  1. Education/Regulatory Requirements:
    • RN or LPN licensed in State of Florida; BSN or health-related Bachelor's Degree preferred. 4 to 6 years experience in health care informatics or comparable.
  2. Skills:
    • Demonstrated knowledge and skills in the areas of education, research, business operations, clinical information systems, and process improvement.
    • Experience in information system implementations and the system development life cycle including requirements gathering and documentation, impact analysis, and quality assurance testing preferred.
    • Ability to use independent judgment; works effectively in a team environment as well as independently with little or no direction.
    • Strong organizational and problem solving skills.
    • Works well under stress with deadlines.
    • Ability to handle a variety of complex projects simultaneously.
    • Experienced in managing project plans, priorities and expectations among diverse stakeholder groups.
    • Team leadership experience is desirable.
    • Knowledge of hospice or home health operations and regulations preferred.
  3. Professional Requirements:
      • Excellent interpersonal, writing skills, and communication skills.
  4. Language Skills:
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
