Responsibilities

Hours of operation: 7am to 3:30 pm, 9am to 5:30 pm, 11am to 7:30 pm, 2:30 pm to 11pm, and some weekends. On-call requirements.

 

JOB SUMMARY

 

  • To provide pharmaceutical care to patients of the organization- accurately, timely, efficiently and in compliance with all Federal and State Regulations.
  • Provides high quality comprehensive pharmaceutical care appropriate to the age of the patient which contributes to positive patient outcomes.
  • Ensures the safe and effective use of medications by providing medication order verification while assessing for optimal drug product selection, dosage regimen design, effective administration and drug therapy monitoring services and documents all activity.
  • Monitors inpatient and outpatient drug therapies when appropriate, and works with relating medical staff to find alternatives when needed, to ensure the best care possible is being given.
 

 

Qualifications

  1. Education/Regulatory Requirements:
    • Registered Pharmacist in the State of Florida.
    • Consultant Pharmacist license preferred.
  2. Skills:
    • One (1) year experience in institutional pharmacy practice preferred.
