• Responsible for greeting and providing informational services to all visitors, verifying identification, logging visitors into the data base and issuing a visitor identification badge. 
• Calls appropriate staff and announces business visitors/guests. 
• Directs patient visitors to appropriate room and, if time permits, escorts first time visitors to patient room. 
• Assists Communication Liaison with overflow calls and extends call to appropriate individual. 
• Responsible for front desk emergency procedures/ announcements as directed by facilities department.
• Provides assistance to other departments as necessary (i.e. addressing envelopes, proofreading, etc. 
• Provides backup for Communication Liaison position.

A.     Education/Regulatory Requirements:

o    High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.

B.     Skills:

o    Two years of related switchboard experience, preferably in a healthcare environment

o    Compassionate, caring, courteous and respectful attitude.

o    Basic computer skills

C.     Professional Requirements:

o    Excellent communication skills, clear, articulate and friendly manner of speaking.

D.    Language Skills:

o    Bilingual a plus but not mandatory
