Responsibilities

Hours of Operation: Monday-Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm

  • A highly organized and professional individual responsible for the administrative support of the Bereavement Department.
  • An excellent communicator who interfaces with bereaved clients directly via telephone and through internal and external referrals.
  • Supports and trains volunteers in departmental activities.
  • Responsible for a wide variety of administrative support including maintaining department data systems and bereavement clients' records.
  • Provides administrative support to the Bereavement Manager.

Qualifications

  1. Education/Regulatory Requirements:
    • Associate degree in a related area and minimum of 2 years of experience in a business office with one year as an administrative assistant. May substitute 2 additional years of experience for Associate degree.
  2. Skills:
    • Ability to type 45 correct words per minute.
    • Extensively proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
    • Experience with EMR applications preferred
    • Skilled in extracting and compiling technical data; report format for tables, graphs, slides, and statistical reports.
    • Mastery of essential general office procedures.
    • Competence with the technical components necessary to complete the job.
  3. Professional Requirements:
      • Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills.
      • Displays professional demeanor, ethical conduct, personal integrity, and safeguard confidential matter.
      • Ability to anticipate departmental and daily needs and makes sound decision in the absence of detailed instructions.
