These three hospices are now one branch of Trustbridge, a community nonprofit that provides support for families facing serious illness 24 hours a day. Our other services include palliative medicine, caregiver support and bereavement programs.

Pay range:  $84K - $105k

Responsibilities

**Please be advised:  This position is being managed by an external Executive Search Firm**

  1. Position is responsible for the oversight, management, development, implementation, coordination and evaluation of fund-raising and community outreach special events and programs to support the mission and goals of the organization.
  2. The Area Director of Philanthropy must be able to work well in a team environment as well as with a range of people and personalities.
  3. The Resource Development team works collaboratively on fundraising goals and the ability to work efficiently and as a member of a team is a must.
  4. Ability to recruit, cultivate, motivate and retain volunteers in various capacities (committee, event volunteers, volunteer support, etc.)

Qualifications

 

  1. Education/Regulatory Requirements:
    • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, marketing, business administration or a related field, or associates degree with three years experience in community relations or related field.
  2. Skills:
    • At least five years event planning, major gift, fundraising and public speaking experience, preferably in the health care field.
    • Ability to work with and relate to internal and external customers.
    • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with knowledge of Raiser’s Edge.
  3. Professional Requirements:
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
